Hi, I am Dr. Albertyn Potgieter and joined Dentists at Health in 2008. My passion for Orthodontics, Airway and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) Disorders started in 2011 and it's been an exciting journey ever since. My mission is to restore healthy beautiful smiles. I want to help my patients gain relief from TMJ related symptoms i.e. headaches, migraines, tinnitis, vertigo and provide solutions to snoring and sleep apnea, I've limited my scope of practice to these demanding but fascinating disciplines. There is no better reward when patients tell me we are changing their quality of life and not just sticking a band-aid on a problem.
I am grateful for a loving supporting wife and two beautiful children. We're big on making memories and spending quality time with friends. A big priority and joy are to serve our local church and live a life of significance. I'm blessed to be a blessing.

long established in Newton Park, he joined us in January 2019. A big man with a big heart and a gentle touch. He tends to each patients' individual needs to the best of his ability and wants them to walk out; not just with a beautiful smile on the outside,but have an internal heartwarming smile.
Outside the practice he spends time with his Wife and children. To stay fit and ready for anything Crossfit,hunting and surfing completes the package.
Dr. Alicia van Dyk

She has been with the practice for 11 years! In that time she’s built special relationships with the wonderful families of Port Elizabeth. Alicia is always smiling, a real peoples person. She is passionate about dentistry and people, trying to make the world smile as much as she does.
Outside of dentistry she enjoys spending time with her husband and two little boys, reading novels, watching movies, and doing the quintessential South African thing relaxing next to a campfire, and having a meal with family and friends.
Dr. Piasha Pillay

I started working at Dentists@Health Walmer in 2015 and it’s been my second home ever since. I love the sense of family we have managed to create within the practice and amongst our patients.
My favourite area of dentistry is working with children, bringing a smile to their faces and building good relationships with them from a young age and being part of their journey as they grow with confident healthy smiles, hopefully eliminating the fear they had previously perceived of going to the dentist. It has also sparked my newly found interest in orthodontics, which has broadened my scope.
If I’m not busy with teeth, I’m probably somewhere busy with food or travelling. I look forward to welcoming you to our practice, getting to know you and your family, and helping in restoring your oral health and overall well-being.
Dr. JP van Zyl

He performs all the different disciplines of dentistry, but is especially passionate about cosmetic dentistry, dental surgery and facial aesthetics, including:
- Cosmetic dental reconstruction and oral rehabilitation
- Wisdom teeth removal
- Placement of dental implants
- Botox and dermal fillers
He is a member of the South African Dental Association and part of the International Team for Implantology. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Implantology at the University of Western Cape in 2018 and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery in 2021.
He has completed multiple courses, surgical as well as cosmetic to ensure that he will provide you with the best treatment possible.
Outside work he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter, really enjoys playing golf and spending his time in the mountains hunting.
Mrs Babitha Sunder

Babitha has been with the practice since 2015 and is a pillar in our practice when it comes to our preventative programs. Her key fields is periodontics(gum health) and interceptive orthodontics with particular focus on myofunctional therapy(This is the relationship of face muscles and the teeth) which helps to bring about balance with form and function.
Outside of dentistry she likes reading, staying active and cooking traditional Indian food.
Dr. Danie Fourie

He relocated to Port Elizabeth from Mpumalanga in 2012 and started his career in Port Elizabeth with our practice when we were still located in the Walmer Park shopping centre. For the past 8 years he worked inside the Medicross group.

“I had the privilege to join the Dentists at Health team in March 2021.
I am a Pretoria girl with a passion for dentistry and all that it entails. I always say life is too short to only chew on one side, and that is my mission - to make the dental visit a comfortable experience and provide our patients with the best possible care.
I love the scope of general dentistry and I have a special interest in dental surgery which includes the removal of wisdom teeth and the placement of dental implants. I am excited to provide our patients with comprehensive treatment with our state of the art technology.
I believe in living life to the fullest, not only in my professional career but also in my personal life. My spirit seeks adventure wherever I wander and I am always keen to take on something new whether it's playing tennis, surfing, learning Spanish, hiking or running. You will definitely find me outdoors.”
